Overtime

Hours beyond the daily or weekly limit. Overtime is payable at twice the ordinary rate, and each State caps how many hours a quarter may hold - so this screen flags the cap as well as the cost.

What the screen tells you

Overtime is payable at twice the ordinary rate for hours beyond the daily or the weekly limit, and each State caps the hours a quarter - Karnataka 50, Maharashtra 125, the Central Rules 125. HR-VEND will not approve overtime that takes a quarter past its cap without an explicit, recorded acknowledgement.
